Sponsoring a local athlete offers Canadian companies a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while boosting their brand visibility and community reputation. By supporting homegrown talent, businesses demonstrate a commitment to local development, youth empowerment, and healthy lifestyles. Values that resonate strongly with Canadian consumers. This type of sponsorship can enhance public perception, create positive media exposure, and foster loyal customer relationships. Additionally, companies often benefit from increased engagement on social media and at local events, as the athlete acts as a passionate ambassador for the brand. Ultimately, it’s an investment in both community and company growth.

July a follow up request was made public:

Dear Business Owner

I hope you’re doing well. In response to the email sent the week of May 5, 2025 https://veronicapalmer.ca/official-sponsorship-request-letter/  I wanted to follow up with an exciting update on Veronica’s journey and share more about her local roots and recent accomplishments.

Veronica has lived in Morinville her entire life and proudly attends our local public school, where she’s made the honor roll and was recently recognized as Top Athlete of the Year. Her determination and discipline shine through in everything she does.

She trains at Rooke School of Karate, a well-established local dojo that has been part of our community for over 20 years. This is where Veronica’s passion for karate was born—and where she continues to develop her skills as she prepares to represent Team Canada at the PanAmerican Karate Championship this August.

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve reached the halfway point in our fundraising goal, and we’re now asking for community partners like you to help us close the gap.

As a business, your sponsorship or donation can qualify as a business expense, making it beneficial at tax time, especially when paired with the community goodwill that comes from supporting a local youth athlete reaching for international success.

If you’re able to contribute any amount, your support will go directly toward covering Veronica’s travel, competition, and training costs. Every dollar helps move her closer to her dream.

Thank you again for considering this opportunity to support not just Veronica, but our community’s pride and future.

Warm regards,
Anthony & Heather Palmer
