Veronica Palmer
Monday & Thursday is traditional kata class. Where Veronica studies traditional Uechi Ryu Karate, original martial arts-based out of Okinawa Japan. The main focus is to train in the art of self-defense, focusing on discipline and self-confidence
Tuesday is Kumite night. Veronica helps instruct during the junior level class where the focus is learning techniques & the beginning of how to compete. Then partakes in the senior class working on more advanced drills & having matches with other athletes in a safe space to practice those techniques.
Closer to competition dates, there will be additional advanced training to work on specific techniques & areas of focus.
Being a member of the Junior National Team earns invites to training at regional training camps with our national coaches & athletes with focus on technical & tactical aspects of kata & kumite.

Spirit of The North Tournament – St. Albert –May 2, 2025 – May 3, 2025 (competition fees under $100CAD)
PANAMERICAN Championship Tournament for Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships: Asunción, Paraguay, 28-30 August 2025 ( 2024 the cost was $8500 CAD)
